Alaska Operating Engineers/Employers Training Trust
The International Union of Operating Engineers and the Alaska General Contracting community have been engaged in building Alaska since before World War II. The Operating Engineers and the Associated General Contractors have been training Alaskans for decades and to further this commitment the Operating Engineers and the Associated General Contractors, Alaska chapter, built a new training facility in the Mat-Su Valley (Palmer) in the 1980s.
Alaska Operating Engineers/AGC Training School Facts
The Operating Engineers’ main statewide training facility is located at Mile 1.1 of the Palmer Wasilla Highway. This facility of almost 12,000 square feet of buildings sits on 63 acres of land. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
